Introduction to Trichology

This course is an introduction to the field of Trichology. It is for professionals who want to learn more about the field of Trichology and how it could be beneficial in their current or future role as a Barber, Cosmetologist, Natural Hair Stylist, or Esthetician. Students will learn how to become an Associate or Fully Certified Trichologist through the Kinesthetic Institute of the Skin & Scalp E.D. This course is for informational purposes only. 

 

Level 1: Associate Trichologist Virtual Course 

This course is Level 1 of our full Trichology Certification Course and is taken solely online. It includes the theory portion of our 6-Week Trichology Certification Course. Upon completion of this Level 1 course, Students have the opportunity to register for our 2-Day in person clinical Training to receive full Trichology Certification.

• Advanced Treatment Methodologies

• The Trichology Business (how to set up your Trichology Practice)

• and so much more!

Level 1: Associate Trichology Equivalency Exam

This Level 1: Associate Trichologist Equivalency Exam is a "test out" option for those professionals who believe they know the theory behind Trichology and would like a "fast track" to our 2-Day Hands-On Clinical Trichology Training Course. The exam is comprised of 100 questions. Students who pass the Trichology Equivalency Exam with a score of 80% or above will receive a certification as an Associate Trichologist and meet the requirements to take our hands-on Clinical Trichology Training course at our Raleigh, NC Campus to receive full Trichology Certification.  Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or Certified Trichologist/Hair Loss Practitioner from an accredited Trichology Training Program.

6-Week Trichology Certification Course 

The Kinesthetic Institute of the Skin & Scalp E.D.'s Full Trichology Program is a prestigious step forward in the Trichology field. This course can be taken ONLINE or in person at our Raleigh, NC Campus. It includes the theory and practical hands-on training needed to become a Board-Certified Trichologist. Students who choose the virtual online option must also attend the 2-Day In-person clinical training to receive full certification. The cost for the 2-Day Hands on clinical training is included in the cost of this course. Students will receive a link to schedule the 2-day training upon completion of the online course.

This course includes:

• Scalp Science,

• Low Level Laser Therapy,

• High Frequency,

• Micro needling,

• Scalp Detoxification,

• Gut Health,

• Herbal Medicine,

• Microscopic Hair & Scalp Analysis,

• Consultations,

• The Trichology Business (how to set up your Trichology Practice)

Students will also receive two free coaching sessions upon completion of the course and become a part of the K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni Association. This course includes a Trichology Starter Kit (included in the cost of tuition) that contains: Tri-scope, Lab Coat with name, Trichology Certification, and other key tools to start your journey as a Board-Certified Trichologist. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or Certified Trichologist/Hair Loss Practitioner from an accredited Trichology Training Program.  Application fees are non-refundable, therefore please ensure the prerequisite criteria is met prior to selecting this option. 

 

 

2-Day Hands-On Clinical Trichology Training

This 2-Day Hands-On course is taught in person at the K.I.S.S.E.D. Trichology Training Institute located in Raleigh, NC. This is the final component in completing the full Trichology Certification. This course ensures students have the hands-on training with equipment and tools needed to excel in the field of Trichology. Students will apply the knowledge obtained in the 6-week theory to demonstrate to administration and staff they are fully prepared for their new career as a Trichologist.

 

KTTI is an extension of K.I.S.S.E.D. Trichology & Wellness Clinic. Students will tour our facility, receive hands-on training on consultations, scoping, advanced treatment options, as well as all of the tools needed to become a highly regarded professional among peers and colleagues. 

 

This course includes a Trichology Starter Kit that contains:

• Microscope,

• High Frequency Tool,

• Microneedling Pen

• LLLT handheld tool,

• Scalp Detox System,

• Lab Coat with name,

• Trichology Certification,

• and other key tools to start your journey as a Board-Certified Trichologist. 

 

Prerequisite: Students must complete the 6-Week Trichology Certification OR the Trichologist Equivalency Exam, OR submit documentation of successful completion of another Trichology Certification Program from an accredited institution prior to taking this course. Application fees are non-refundable, therefore please ensure the prerequisite criteria is met prior to selecting this option.

ADVANCED TRICHOLOGY CE COURSES 

 

High Frequency For Hair Loss Certification Course 

This is an Advanced Trichology Continuing Education course for those professionals who would like to learn how to use High Frequency techniques to stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. Students will receive a kit that includes a handheld high frequency machine and other essential tools needed to perform this service. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or Certified Trichologist/Hair Loss Practitioner from an accredited Trichology Training Program.

 

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) Certification Course 

This is an Advanced Trichology Continuing Education course for those professionals who would like to learn how to use Low Level Laser Therapy techniques to stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. Students will receive a kit that includes a low-level laser therapy device and other essential tools needed for this service. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or Certified Trichologist/Hair Loss Practitioner from an accredited Trichology Training Program.

Micro needling For Hair Loss Certification Course 

This is an Advanced Trichology Continuing Education course for those professionals who would like to learn how to use Micro Needling techniques to stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. Students will receive a kit that includes a micro-needling pen and other essential tools needed for this service. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or Certified Trichologist/Hair Loss Practitioner from an accredited Trichology Training Program.

 

 

Microscopic Hair & Scalp Analysis Certification Course

This is an Advanced Trichology Continuing Education course for those professionals who would like to learn how to use the microscope to properly analyze the hair and scalp. Students will receive a kit that includes a microscope and other essential tools needed for this service. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or Certified Trichologist/Hair Loss Practitioner from an accredited Trichology Training Program.

 

 

Scalp Detox Certification Course 

This is an Advanced Trichology Continuing Education course for those professionals who would like to learn how to properly detoxify, stimulate, and restore the scalp with proven clinical techniques that promote hair growth. Students will receive a kit that includes a 30-day supply of products and other essential tools needed to perform this service. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or Certified Trichologist/Hair Loss Practitioner from an accredited Trichology Training Program.

COACHING PROGRAMS

Cosmetology Coaching Program 

This coaching program is for licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Natural Hair Stylist, Licensed Estheticians, or recent graduates in any of those fields who desire additional assistance with navigating through their businesses. We assist with finding your niche, streamlining services, building your business, business credit, structuring your business, continuing education, and answering any questions you may have as a licensed professional. Sessions are virtual or in-person with an option of specified time slots. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, Licensed Barber, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or student in any one of the aforementioned fields.

Trichology Coaching Program 

This coaching program is for Certified Trichologist or Hair Loss Professionals who are either K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or have taken a previous Trichology Certification course and desire additional hands-on training or assistance incorporating Trichology in their current business structure. We assist with finding your niche, streamlining services, building your business, business credit, structuring your business, setting up your trichology practice, continuing education, and answering any questions you may have as a certified hair loss professional. Sessions are virtual or in-person with an option of specified time slots. Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Barber, Licensed Esthetician, Licensed Barber, K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni or student in any one of the aforementioned fields.
